Time to get Your Spring Bird Planning done !

The sun has been shining steadily the past few days welcoming us to the start of another Spring season but the cold wind has been reminding us that Spring doesn’t always start instantly. Soon the temperature will rise, the migrating birds will begin to return in numbers and the urge to see these feathered friends will get us outside with our binoculars and scopes.

The Huron Fringe Birding Festival is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some of that outdoor time on hikes lead by some of the best birders and leaders in the country. Several of the programs are already full but there are still many good choices to pick from to get out and enjoy some birds, nature hikes and camaraderie of other birders and nature lovers.

Check out the available events at this link:

and take a bit of time to enjoy some of the beauty that Bruce and Grey Counties have to offer. Selecting the ‘Huron Fringe Birding Festival’ tab will give you several choices from checking the program, to registering, finding out a bit about the leaders and seeing a list of the birds we have seen during the past festivals.

Take a few minutes, check out the festival web pages and see what events might give you just that extra bit of enjoyment during the warmer days of Spring.
